Set in the Cotswold market town of Tetbury, this charming town house dates back to 1535 and boasts a restaurant with views of the walled garden and fountain. This is a perfect hotel for a classic stay in the Cotswalds -- small and historic with lots of charm, central location in Tetbury (can walk to everything), amazing food and drink service, lovely rooms, relaxing outdoor space, kid-friendly (had a rollaway bed ready for our 3-year old), dog-friendly (didn't bring our dog but saw several others), and parking available. Certainly a highlight of our time visiting the area!

Set in a quiet and peaceful location! The rooms are cosy and clean, the surroundings fields. The food is delicious and the staff are nice and welcoming. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Lion, Tredington. Mark is great! Very friendly and helpful and also upgraded our room, which was wonderful since we were staying 3 nights. Breakfast was lovely and the food at the pub is delicious. It was a great location for day trips from the Cotswolds to Oxford to Stratford. No regrets!

Really enjoyable stay. We were made to feel really welcome and the room was super, with a comfy four poster bed and large separate bathroom. The room was really clean with lovely decor. We loved the small bar area downstairs with a roaring fire. Also had a three course dinner in the restaurant Saturday night. Food was more than a cut above normal pub fayre (think smaller, beautifully presented portions and very high quality ingredients)- for example I had guineau fowl. All the food was delicious, as was the cooked breakfast the next morning. To cap it off, we were offered walking maps and walked to Chipping Camden and Dover's Hill direct from the Hotel - with the offer of being picked up if we got lost!

The receptionist helped us upon check-in and introduced the room usage to us. The decoration of the room is ten times better than the picture. The room is big. This is the best hotel during my two weeks travel around Scotland and England. The restaurant provided nice food.
